Harleybronco
As much as some people like to pick on petco, I just picked up this purple tang from our local Lima one for $89 I've been watching him for a week and very healthy, you can get some great deals on fish there from time to time Karmann
Karmann
Heck of a deal, congratulations. I wish petco here sold marine life. Is there a list of which stores do?
Muttley000
Nice! You aren't skipping QT are you?? Even though he looked good you can be sure they have been pulling dead fish out of the system. Hope you have good luck either way, that's a heck of a price! Harleybronco
No QT on this guy, I've never put any of my livestock in a QT tank, but do have a hospital tank set up just in case, he's in the rimless with three other tangs and a flame, so far all are getting along and he's eating great so I'm not to worried

Irene
I'm in Lima too. I picked up a gorgeous HUGE cauliflower coral from them a month ago. for $29. Several of their employees keep marine tanks, so I think they keep a better eye than non- fish people might. Karmann
Karmann
Petco needs to get their act together and sell marine life in Dayton or even cincy
Muttley000
I wonder if the liveaquaria attitude is rubbing off in them?

crankbait09
@crimsonvice All depends what you're looking for. There are two guys there that do all the salt water fish ordering. They will order any fish you want, and that they can get. They have told me that, if I have them order "X" fish, I am not obligated to buy it. I though that was pretty cool. He said, if you see the fish and change your mind, it's all good. no charge. Their prices are pretty competitive. I thought they'd be a lot higher than say AA, but pretty close. The peppermint shrimp were much higher though. So i guess it just depends. they have a good amount of salt water supplies including frozen foods, pellets, etc. I am not a big fan of Petco products to begin with. (products are very expensive, but not the aquarium stuff), but it's right next to my house. So very very convenient. They have coral frags there as well. If I remember right, they have about a dozen salt water tanks. Karmann
