I was using Aquaforest 123, but I was burning through it, and I don't even have a high demand tank. Currently I dose 7ml of Alk, 4ml Cal, and 4ml Mag every 24hrs. Here are my test results as of last night (didn't test everything just Po4, Alk, Cal, Mag, and Nitrate). I am still trying to dial everything in. I am a little high on my Alk. I want to be more like 10.

I havent mixed the two, but I was running a BRS dual reactor for a while with both in it. I ended up stopping when I really didnt see a need for it. Now that my nitrates spiked again after using Vibrant, I am trying to scramble to get everything in order.
crimsonvice
I need to get my overflow plumbing completed. I have all the stuff to get it looking all nice and purty, but I haven't been able to find the time.

What test kit are you using and how old is it? Have you tested your fresh saltwater? Just spitballing here.
crimsonvice
Just picked up a salifert test kit a few weeks ago. Was using an API prior to that. Results are similar.
Birdman
Have you tested your RO water? There something in there causing this to happen. Have you considered a chaeto ball?

Birdman
I would do 2 50% water changes in 2 days. That's my opinion.

Ok so the test isn't lying. How about testing your water next time you mix it.

Muttley000
Nice movement on the pellets. I don't understand why your water changes aren't bringing the nitrates down. Something is generating ammonia in the system as fast as your changes are removing it. It makes no sense that a 50% change doesn't cut them in half!
