Craig
Since I got a rodi system back up and running I'm going to buying a 22g brute can. My question is can I keep a heater in there to keep it heated to my tanks water temperature and should I add a lower head to keep the water moving ? Mussin
I don't keep a powerhead in my rodi storage tank, I also don't heat it. Waste of electricity imo.. at the rate the top off adds water to the tank the temp drop is negligible. Jeremy
Craig
I mean for water changes. Would be easier in my opinion to just have the water heated already than letting a heater heat up cold water then shut off till next water change. Mussin
Oh.. yea my salt water brute is heated and moving with a small powerhead. I usually make salt water a day or two before a wAter change. lngliv3
Craig
My tanks only 25g and I can only store the mixed saltwater for 5 days per the instructions. So not sure what my best course of action is.
Muttley000
I keep a powerhead in my RODI and a powerhead and heater in my saltwater.
Muttley000
The one in my RODI is fixed up with a tube to blow bubbles in it. This is to drive off the co2 that is normally in it and raise PH
Craig
So think when I buy my brute to just keep a small powerhead in it?

jlancas81
Yup, I use an old skimmer pump, heater and air pump for my new saltwater
