My only complaint would be that on some of the higher speeds, it can be noisy. This is an older version though. That may be resolved on the 200 series or on the Icecaps. I have been looking at them for awhile. I want to upgrade all my pumps so I can dial everything in.
crimsonvice
This is a great option. I would definitely recommend it. Nanoreef13

If you go with the Maxspect version please figure out how to make your apex control it so I can copy your work lol
Nanoreef13
Haha I have a reefkeeper 2 unfortunately but an apex is on the list of things to buy
crimsonvice
There isn’t an interface to connect it to the Apex?
Craig
Ya there is. IceCap makes it.

Seems like there should be an easier way with a high end item like the gyre than putting an aftermarket controller on it, but that is also the only way I have seen it done. Looks like it's just a cable but I could be wrong.
Muttley000
I think you need the cable along with the icecap controller. I don't believe the Maxspect controller can do it on its own. Wish we had someone that had done it to chime in. I'll get around to researching it all eventually because I want one on my 90.
Craig
I believe the cable is to control the alternate mode on the gyre. So if you bought just the module I dont think it will do the alternate gyre modes.
