Nanoreef13
Not sure why but my red Planet is growing white! It's growing just fine and the rest of it is red but the whole left side is growing this way. I have other spots on the coral growing just fine. No abnormal levels and all corals are healthy and growing just fine. I have not changed anything out of the normal routine, and there is nothing by it that will sting it. Joe
Looks like that spot is getting more light than the rest of the coral. May just be the pic. But what lights are your running?
Nanoreef13
The lights should be the same for the whole coral there is nothing above it. It's weird because it's growing really well there but it's white haha and I'm using ocean revives.

cptnspanky
I dunno if it's a coincidence but most of my sps grew like that while I was running gfo. Lazylivin had a theory that nutrients in the water acted as sunscreen, so while running gfo and ultra low nutrients your actually hitting the coral with more light. Might or might not be the case, but it's a thoughtSent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Nanoreef13
No that's about a months worth of growth
Joe
If the white is eventually growing over with polyps, I’m not sure it’s much to be concerned about.

Muttley000
What are your parameters at just out of curiosity.
Lazylivin
This is normal coloration for red planet. It’s growth tips are white then go pink and finally after many months it will turn red. The newest growth is always white. It looks healthy and happy. Nice job crimsonvice
