    Hello

Hello everyone, I'm new to the hobby. Starting with a 16g biocube from coralife with live rock and sand, going to be going with 2 flurry clownfish a bta and zoes Lps and maybe euphillia. I know what everyone is thinking the bta will kill coral but I'm going to get him in first and established then add coral to a magnetic holder on the sides. I think I have a handle on the start up but I know I'll learn a lot more,

    Intrested...

The buzz around here has me interested. Is there a maximum distance the powerbar can be from the Controller (i.e , are longer than 2m PAB cables available for purchase)?

    Testing Tracker

I manually key mine into Aquarimate. You can log more parameters, these are just the ones I have test kits for.

  8. Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum. I hope you will take a minute to do a formal introduction thread and tell us a little about yourself and your system. I use several Hanna checkers, and here is what I think Alk, this test is rock solid in my opinion. Easy to use and accurate Phoshate, this also is easy to use and accurate. There are different checkers based on what kind of system you run and what range you are testing in. I use the ULR and like it. One of our very supportive vendors, Marine Depot (who also gives kick back to the club if you use our affiliate link found in the deals forum) recently posted very helpful info on picking the right one, let me know if you can't find it and I'll get you a link calcium, this test is difficult to use in my opinion. I have learned to like it, but a salifert titration kit could be easier for most people to use and more accurate. i personally haven't used any of the others but I would like to try the temp/salinity (sounds like they are still working the bugs out of his one) and copper tests one day.

  9. Love the look of these controllers. I've never wanted an apex but Im strongly considering this for my 75 build that will turn into a much larger tank when we move.

    GHL and Mac OS X

The P4 can be setup with the GHL Connect app right out of the box, no PC required. Here's a video that shows you how to do that: Using the app, you can get the P4 added to your home network, setup the built-in hotspot, assign PAB devices, and setup your controller functions.

  12. Fixed ^! Always was interested in saltwater, but never really took the jump. I had a friend who was into fresh water tanks, and breeding his fish. He went out of town for a week and had me fish sit. I didn't know what I was in for. Took me 40 minutes each day, just to feed the fish... This got me thinking about keeping a tank again. Met a guy at work who had a small corner saltwater tank, and bounced a bunch of questions off of him. Found a deal on Craigslist for a $60, with tank, stand, sump, skimmer, and miscellaneous reef stuff. Tank buddy help me set it up, and have been a reef nerd ever since.
