What could be going on here?

Main case assembled! Next step is fastening it to the base. Bracing, trim, and hanging doors after that. Will try to sneak in a little time for that tomorrow!

3D printed parts in a frag tank

LOL....been a while since I've been on....all the PETG stuff I printed and put in my tank has done very well...no issues at all other than my maintenance.

So one of the things I like to do when using plywood for furniture pieces is make sure edges that are likely to show wear over time have real wood edging. Kids and pets tend to bump into things and plywood edges are brittle. So I got those added to where the front corners will be and as Norm used to say... “now for a little assembly”

So a little more work has become necessary. Ran to the lumber yard after more plywood and got a base put together for a stand! Got most of it rough cut out tonight and hopefully will see a lot of it go together tomorrow.

He’s a nice one. He was on LA divers den. Paid a little more than other places but peace of mind of having the 14day on him makes it worth it. Plus id rather see the fish before buying it.

    My 180 build

The colony I cut those off of look like that all the time except when the lights are full on. I broudcast feed reef roids a couple times a week during lights out so they may be trained. It will be interesting to see how they change in your tank!

    My 180 build

I have some purple that was put in a month ago that are just slightly higher then these and the mint. They are puffed up . These are the lowest of the 3 but also newest to the tank but also fell over a couple hrs before the pic was taken. Wouldn’t think it’s to much light

Help figuring out the new tank

This is exactly where I was going if it was elevated. I’ve read about this but no firsthand experience

    Any hunters?

I have 4 acres next to my house. I use a crossbow and muzzleloader. Most deer hunting is in Wyoming though..

    Any hunters?

Been a hunter since I was 15. Bought my first shotgun at Kmart when I turned 16. Hunt waterfowl and deer and elk out west. Am also a full time Taxidermist.

So I checked the watershed station down the alley. I may have to walk over with a container and fill it to check the tds that comes out of it. It’s about 80yd walk for me so if it comes out clear it might be a good emergency water source if my RODI goes out.

Help figuring out the new tank

yea i would try that, and maybe dim the lights 25% and slowly bring it back up. Easier to kill sps with too much light rather than too little

I did it for the Marco rock and tonga rock (50 lbs of rock) but scored some coral too. I declined the fish (including 2 tangs) The scoly wasn’t looking too hot, but it is doing a lot better already I wish I had pictures of the rocks I love those tonga sticks!!

    Random Craigslist scores

I see a guy selling a Brute can nearby, and he says it’s only been used for water changes etc. and he tags a bunch of reef stuff, and I immediately start asking him if he has coral to trade/sell...... I’m a vulture!

And the bubble king is down for a week. I should have serviced and cleaned the pump prior since I picked this up second hand. The motor stopped working on my today and pulses now. Ordered a new motor block that I’m hoping arrives by the end of the week. The tank started clearing up over the past 10 days or so but I’m getting another dino bloom and hard green coralline growth on the rocks. I’ll be able to measure phosphates with a Hanna checker I ordered for now the tank is still in the ugly stage
