    Finally.

Our downstairs has been a mess since the bottom seal of our 200DD gave way back in April. Carpet’s coming Wednesday. I have to have this running, and the stock tank out before then...

  12. To be honest i have no idea. I can say now, i am getting more green algae (as much as i would expect) whereas before there was hardly any algae on the surfaces at all. So, maybe some sort of bacteria that was feeding off the nutrients in the water?

    Snails

Old copper plumbing usually. Are you using an older tank that possibly was freshwater before?

    Snails

We had 2 snails before the new ones, and one has died and one seems fine. Everything else in the tank seems fine. We're going to the saltwater store tomorrow to talk about. We acclimated them in the bucket and added a scoop of tank water every 10 min for 1 hr 50 min.very strange

    Snails

Welcome to the forum! So only the new snails have issues but older ones are fine? How did you acclimate the snails when you added them, and do you know how long they were at the store you got them from?

    The last post wins

I believe an update I did to the forum software broke it. Hopefully it’s fixed now.

  18. I added a lot more rock for hiding/sleeping spots for all the fish. All the white rock is from my sump. Currently my fish list is as follows : yellow, chocolate, Kole, hippo, powder blue, orange shoulder and naso tangs, lawnmower blenny, blue throat trigger and 4 clowns. I've also started to purchase coral.

    New Stuff

Foxface is still timid but got some photo's. He is active unless I walk up to the tank with a camera and has great yellow during the day and the night time color change is crazy. The Scaly is a great color contrast. They are night feeders and this morning I noticed the tentacles out while the sun was coming up. Interesting night life developing.
