  2. Falling in Love With This Blue-tip Yellow Acropora millepora Like many of you we haven’t been able to browse corals for sale at our local fish store or at reef conferences like we used to, for quite some time. To fill in the gap we’ve taken to ‘browser shopping’ from many different vendors in this country and abroad, both at the retail, wholesale and export level just to see what is available in the current coral supply, and to discover what is being shipped and grown around the world. What distinguishes this specific variety from common Ocellaris Clownfish is the prominent white banding that curve and merge together like brush strokes. Unlike Snowflake Ocellaris Clownfish that demonstrate a similarly high degree of white coloration but in a disorganized and random pattern, the Gladiator Clownfish retains the orange color
  8. I feed LRS daily. Thinking about using reef roids a couple times a week.
  9. Closed Loops are a forgotten art form of water movement in the reef aquarium space, providing incredible flow rates throughout the aquarium while removing the equipment from the primary display tank. But unlike propeller pumps which can be easily placed into most reef tanks and magnetically mounted to the aquarium glass, a closed loop is the antithesis of ‘plug and play’. It takes a lot more prior planning and preparation to use and install a closed loop in an aquarium and there’s basically no way to install one after the fact. Further complicating matters is that typically you need two
