  1. Well, your welcome to discuss tropical fish here....however this club is based in the buckeye state (Ohio) and i would guess no one here is familiar with the clubs in arizona Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  2. I sure wish these were reef safe. Id buy one in a heartbeat Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  3. That sounds doable. Ill shoot you a pm to work it out further.
  4. Im interested, but your a bit far. Do you ever make it any closer to toledo?
  5. I wish, we used to go up to houghton lake every year. They sold the place we were going to, and havent had much luck finding a new spot this year Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  6. Used to have a fish net and some cast iron starfish, anchor, and mermaids but cant see any of that, now that the wall is gone Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  7. I would just to get away from buckeye internet but the pings are just too high for gaming still Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

    Apex Display

Well initially i had some issues running the app on android and it wasnt working right. Those seem to be fixed now, but mostly it just seems to be smoother running it through my browser

    Apex Display

No display here. Just my phone. I dont even use the app i prefer the web browser and i keep one tab open on it
  10. I use them sometimes. They are great to help polish the water up, but lately theyve clogged so fast i was changing them every couple days. So im back to no socks. I toss them in my fish rooms slop sink when theyre dirty till they dry. I used to run 2 wash cycles on my old top loader, once with bleach and 2nd one just water, but the new front loaders use so little water i run 3. Once inside out once normal (with bleach) and last is just plain water. I see no visual difference in my tank except any snails that pass through might survive without the socks Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  11. Well i have 1 fish that is big enough and in another year or 2 ill have 2 big enough. If there were no other options i would, but i would likely go raiding the neighbor that calls the city on me about my boat first. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

    Top 10 Zoa's

i like to have a mix of contrasting bright colors when it comes to zoas, so some of my faves that i currently have in the tank are king midas zoas, armor of gods, bambams, wwc aoi's and my orange hornets
  13. Sorry forgot to check back in on this thread. @Muttley000 answered it perfectly. But ill add the single drain will be maxed in flow and be noisy doing it. I am not a fan of 1" drain lines on any size tank, but we do the best we can with what we have. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  14. Sent you a pm Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  15. Id run both the drain and return as drains, plumb the return over the back and run a danner mag drive for your pump. Those things last forever and are near bulletproof. Theyre quite affordable too
  16. @Joe what vendors are you referring to? I was looking for one not too long ago before i bought my copperband butterfly
  17. I will also add that i was burning through membranes relatively quickly by not flushing enough. I got an auto flush solenoid valve that i think is helping there as well
  18. Well for example, when i rebooted the tank i changed all cartridges and membrane in my 5 stage. I just changed the di resin for the 1st time after 9-10 months. I use color changing mixed bed, and can see as it exhausts. Prior to replacing them i was replacing di every month or so. And i change the sediment filter when i replace di, and change carbon blocks every other time. I will also add that the di resin from airwaterice consistantly lasts me way longer than any other resin
  19. Membrane gets changed when i start noticing im burning through di resin more quickly Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
  20. Not i, but ive always been interested and im curious about the learning curve on them
  21. Poly shouldnt absorb any medications unless you have carbon mixed with it
  22. I dont quarantine exactly but i did recently buy the icecap large fish trap, and it works beautifully to get your new fish accustomed to existing. And gives you the ability to target feed that fish to find what he will eat and see it happen. Im rehabilitating a purple tang that was near starved to death in it right now. Aside from that i sometimes use a 2 part dip that they use at aquarium world, others ill use methylene blue to dip
  23. I have some colony sized chunks of purple stylo Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
