  1. I have mixed feelings about socks. I will occasionally run them, but when things are rocking and rolling I usually don't. If I have algae issues or am running something that requires a sock I will run them. For cleaning I will throw them in the washer and them them sit in a mix of water and vinegar. Then I will wash and dry them.
  2. @Jesse looks like yours says it tests in PPM not PPB. So you would have the +/-.01 variance.
  3. I am of the mindset that some phosphates are good. I am having an issue with GHA, and the lower my phosphates are the more I have a problem with the GHA. Same with nitrate. The lower I am on nitrate, the more problems I have with algae growth. That being said, I like to try to keep my nitrate above 10 ppm, and let the phosphate automatically regulate itself. I am sure there is a +/- variant in the Hanna ULR, so it is hard for me to imagine that you truly are at 0.
  4. The only problem with transitioning is it can take up to two weeks for funds to transfer. So now wouldn't be the time. Once this dies down, I'm out of Robinhood. They totally screwed themselves.
  5. Just imagine you are paying real money for Monopoly money, and your good to go!
  6. I put $100 into Dogecoin at .02 on Thursday. I watched it go to .08 by 1130. Almost a 400% increase in my investment. I was really tempted to cash out, but the rockets went to my head. I figured I'd hold to the morning and see where we were at. In the AM it was hovering at .05, and I sold for just over double what I out in. I took my $100 back, and bought a little more at a dip of .04. Now we are riding .03-.04. I have 125 invested, and am showing about $77. So currently at a loss of profits, but I have not lost money from my pocket. It was totally happenstance that I was watching this all play out. WSB is making the market super volatile right now, and would not recommend investing anything that you are not comfortable walking away from. I spend $100 on reef stuff easy in a month, so now I just have to wait to buy the new release from TSA.
  7. That is so dumb. Hawaii and Indo go through these bans, and for the most part it is all political. It will eventually turn, but it definitely stinks in the mean time.
  8. So many good lighting options on the market these days.
  9. That's exciting. I can't wait to get one too.
  10. Yeah that isn't a bad deal. I would almost see if you could find someone or a store that would buy the livestock, unless they are fish/coral you would like. The tank is a little small for a yellow Tang, but I am not calling the Tang police. You would definitely need to replace the sand. Pulsing xenia is a cool Coral, but does take over easy. Otherwise not a bad deal.
  11. Late like usual. Pulled out the orange filter for this one. I am not sold on the orange filters. I think it pops some colors too much. Them the frag tank where I grow my green hair algae.
  12. $700 for the biocube link you posted isn't a horrible price. The built it light is very meh for Coral. You should be able to grow soft stuff, but if you are looking for lps or sps probably will need to upgrade it. If you don't mind used equipment keep an eye on Facebook market place. There are always tanks available, and sometimes you can find someone who is getting out of the hobby and you will pretty much get everything you need. Feel free to post up ads here, and we can help if you have questions.
  13. Welcome back. I do not have any rock for sale. Sorry.
  14. I totally understand budgeting. I'm trying to justify spending 1899$ on an Abyzz return to the wife. Lol!
  15. Is that a chalice in the center of the last pic. Thats supper cool whatever it is.

  17. Nice these are some great ideas. You must be a pretty smart guy... That anemone is HOT!!!!
  18. I love the breadbox idea. Very creative. Tank is very clean. Great job!
  19. Nice job! Looks like its going to be a solid build. Cant wait to see where it goes. My two cents... Fiji Pink is a very fine sand. Depending on what type of flow you plan on running, I might suggest something different. Only because with two MP40s you can turn a massive amount of flow, and that fine sand will be like a dust storm in the Sahara. You have a nice equipment list, and nothing against Jebao (I have used their stuff), but why not spend another $100 or so and get a quality return pump. Especially since it is the life source of your system. Not trying to hate or throw shade in any way, just seems out of place with Ecotech, Reef Keeper, Reef Octopus, Kessil...
