teacherreefer
Anyone ever do this? Saw methods of using PVC to place the sand right where I want with minimal clouding. I was going to gently stir the existing sand to incorporate. Only add a pound or 2 at a time. Basically I want a deeper sand bed for specific species of fish. Any suggestions? Muttley000
Interesting question! I’ve seen the pvc trick and it seems to work based on what people say. I would add a small amount at a time to allow things to adjust personally. What are you adding?

teacherreefer
I've always liked the mixed white and black sand in one of the aquariums at changing tide aquatics in Findlay... I', adding Black sand to mix with the white. I need more sand for a watchman goby and love how the two mix together.
Flounder
My watchman goby has a ton of personality and is a great fish. He knows I am the food source and always comes out to greet me.
Craig
I personally would use dry sand and clean the crap out of it till it doesnt get cloudy in a 5g bucket then use a cup and just add it.
