I own a reef tank. But phosphates from fish waste, coral slime, uneaten food, and dead algae cells harm fish and inhibit coral growth. So I figured out how to lower phosphate in a reef tank by changing the water source and looking for something low in phosphate. In addition, I have an additional RODI system installed in my house; this can be a great way to remove phosphates in a reef tank.

Phosphate is essential to your reef tank. But it should be kept at low levels every time. For this reason, it is necessary to learn how to lower phosphate in reef tanks to avoid complications in the future.
