Jesse
What do you turn off in your system when you feed? I normally shut off powerbeads but that is about it. How about you?

crimsonvice
I will only shut off flow pump and powerheads if I am spot feeding. I generally spot feed twice a week. Otherwise everything is still on.
Jesse
Nobody shuts everything off to make sure the fish eat everything you put in the tank?

Nope the way my flow is setup it just circulates around the tank without going down the overflow. I make sure everyone eats.
Flounder
I like watching the flow in my tank when I feed. Plus it really gets the fish swimming with everything on. It's the fish workout.
Dr.Fraggenstien
I think this should depend some on the system. If you have a well established, mature, well stocked system with lots of cuc, I say let it fly. If you have a newer, sterile, system, you'll be better suited to make sure the fish are consuming the majority of the food
rjchiles
Fo automatic scheduled feeding, my flow pumps and sump pump turn off for 10 minutes.
