Fishoutofwater
Curious how everyone has their lights hanging. Does everyone have the fancy aquarium attached arms? Are you hanging them from the ceiling? Do you have them sitting on top of aquarium? I have an idea I’m thinking I’m going to try , and I saw a couple like it on R2R so I know my idea isn’t that crazy now. Muttley000
Mine just hang from whatever is above. I've seen some cool hangers bent out of metal conduit.
Joe
I’ve seen people make there own hanging apparatus when they didn’t want to drill into the ceiling. So if no hood to hang in. Including pvc pipe.
crimsonvice
I am using drywall anchors and hooks in the ceiling. If that isnt a possibility I have seen some cool stuff done with bent metal conduit.
Fishoutofwater
I don’t want to drill into the concrete foundation wall. And I had hung tarps from the ceiling to separate the rooms out for dust control when I repaired my basement. And, I am not repairing ceiling holes again. So, I want to make a header board off the back of the stand and mount three full motion TV hangers. That way when I want to get into the tank I can just swing them out of the way. I was going to build a track system so I could slide all the lights out of the way but that is a lot more expensive and have to mount to ceiling. crimsonvice

Fishoutofwater
@Joe here you go. Got to cut the cable bracket and disassemble everything for painting. But I think you get the gist.
