Jon Fishman
I want this devil’s hand moved to a new rock, to give other stuff room when I move to the new tank I want it removed and placed on a new rock. Any safe way to do this or do I need to nuke him?
crimsonvice
I would break off the rock that is underneath it and use that to transplant it. I have used a flat head screwdriver and a small hammer. Little tap on the rock and you should be good to go. AspiringLobophyllia
Jon Fishman
I can’t even tell where it stops and the rock starts. It came on the rock with the tank and I thought for sure it was dead or I would have never put anything on the rock with it. I’m 99% certain it’s not on a frag plug
cptnspanky
Theyre pretty tough corals, I cut a whole bunch of those into multiple pieces with my frag saw. Cut right through the coral and into the rock. if you chip away at the rock to relocate it, you wont have to worry about it growing back unless you leave some behind, and it wont stress it like cutting. KMHREEFER
I had one once that I carefully pulled at from the base until a small piece peeled up. I used a razor blade to cut it along its base where it peeled up a bit. Did an iodine dip after to disinfect and used fishing string to tie it to another rock. Healed up pretty good after a few weeks.
