I don’t want things to move. So I took 2 5/16” dowels to join them together. Then laid 2 pieces of acrylic, 3”x16” across to mount the lights to. Drilled a few holes so I could use the factory mounts for the leds. Inserted 4” long dowel in the ends so I could fasten the acrylic down to the led fixtures. Ran out of time so I threw them back in. I found a cord that I could run both led fixtures off one cord. (See above pic). It just eliminates a cord. Maes things easier to tidy up in the end. Nice these are some great ideas. You must be a pretty smart guy... 15 hours ago, Joe said: Found some more pics. That anemone is HOT!!!! Joe

Joe
Ok. It’s working. Got a few things to button up then find a plug. I’m going to change my light schedule to a 12 hour total photo period. Also if your doing this. Make you leave more wire than you think you need. Lol. I had to splice a pice of wire onto the very last one I cut. crimsonvice

Joe
Got to check par levels today. Checked them with same set up as the old par meter. Par levels were almost a dead match. The T5’s only brought up par by about 10-15. So I ramped up the blues to 70%. I’m starting to think that may have been to much. Here are my numbers. The current set up is in red. The white is the original set up. Just used the same pics to keep a good reference. Old setting was no T5’s, blues 50% and whites 30%. New is T5’s on, blues 75%, whites 30%. I have some hot spots on top in the 400 par range. Also made this to use with the par meter. It’s kind of crude but it did the trick. Ripped a 1.5” piece of 1/4” plexi. It’s about 33” long. Need to trim it down a bit. Then bent the end and drilled a hole. Worked pretty good.
Joe
My 7 days is up with the par meter tomorrow. So I’ll get it out to the next person. I may have to get it back and dial the blues down to 65% and see what kind of difference that makes. But if my corals do ok, I may let it ride.
