surjer
Just got back from a month long work trip. The wife fed the fish and kept the ATO topped off and scraped the glass but I have quite a bit of this BIG coarse feeling algae.
Muttley000
Iwas having a difficult time focusing with the movement on my little screen. Can you put a piece in a clear glass and take some still shots?

Muttley000
That looks like it could be some kind of caleurpa but still hard for me to tell
Joe
Algae can be hard to id sometimes. It’s to long to be “turf” algae. Do you have any algae eaters in the tank? Are they eating it?
jeff70
agree , looks like a form of caleurpa , pull one up and if you get a long strand of it with roots pulling up bingo. it helped keep your phosphates in check. it spreads easily but also comes out easy. surjer
Manual removal proved to be fairly easy. It’s chaeto that somehow much have got into the main display at some point. I only have 2 margarita snails and 2 hermit crabs. What else should I add that might help with some cleanup thats safe?
