Mussin
I have a 4' reefbreeder led light and I upgraded to a 180 tank. There is 12" on each side with the light centered. Will I need additional lighting? Light hangs 11" or so from the water. Thoughts
Muttley000
Seems that depends totally on what you want to accomplish. I’ve seen some pretty cool tanks that “darkened” on the ends and they made the rock structure stop where the light dimmed.
Dr.Fraggenstien
You'll definitely see some shadows on the sides.
Joe
If your not growing anything on the sides and not worried about the shadow, I’m thinking nps corals, then it’s no big deal. You could always get some small t5,s to supplement if it does bother you.
Mussin
I'm thinking of adding some lumen light bars to add to the reefbreeder. Joe

Jon Fishman
I had overhang on my 75, so I put all mushrooms on the ends
