Reefgeek
Just a quick hello from Lorain! My tank is a 125 gallon that has been running for almost five years now. It's not very well stocked with corals at the moment. Ran mostly fowlr up until recently deciding to get back to corals. I'm looking to you all for mentorship . Currently running two Kessil AP700s for lighting and thinking about adding an led actinic light strip to get that desirable color pop. I don't have a good camera and I'm not much of a photographer but here goes... surjer, AspiringLobophyllia and crimsonvice

Fishoutofwater
Welcome. Lots of good people here. Good looking tank. I think a lot of us have had a FOWLR at one time and then started the total descent into the reef. Reefgeek

Reefgeek
So after having a lot of issues with nitrates and phosphates, I lost a few corals and kinda gave up for awhile. But, now I am back with those previous issues solved! I will be uploading some recent pictures of my tank soon. I just purchased an aquatic life hybrid fixture and T5 bulbs to go with my Kessil AP700's. I am waiting for the mounting brackets to get it hung. So excited to be back! Reefgeek
Thank you! Good to be back. I was having issues with nitrates and phosphates being off the chart. I was only doing monthly water changes and it did not help at all. I dosed nopox until they were finally at a reasonable level. I did a 50% water change followed up by another a week later. Stopped the nopox, started doing 20% changes every two weeks. Got my skimmer working correctly. Change socks every three days. Invested in the hanna checkers. I could never guess the colors right on the nitrate. So now I'm staying pretty stable with 10 nitrate and 0.06 phosphate. Also running gfo in the phosban reactor, so hopefully can get phosphate down just a tad more. Just needed to be more hands on I think lol.
