Rdballard
I'm extremely excited for this weekend because it's when@AspiringLobophyllia drops off the goods for me to get started! By Tuesday everything else will be ready to go! I've got the stand set up, RO/DI water made, and the neighbors are eagerly awaiting their new mates. The stocking list is going to be a pair of small ocellaris clownfish and a yellow clown goby to keep them company. Updates to follow, please feel free to comment as things come up! crimsonvice and AspiringLobophyllia
AspiringLobophyllia
Your new tank is just practicing social distancing for another week! Lol, happy to have you on the forum! Rdballard
Rdballard
Update 1... Sand is rinsed and ready to go. Also made a cutout of the tank to figure out my rock work. I guess that's the engineer in me lol. AspiringLobophyllia and jeff70
AndrewSPS
Looking forward to seeing the build. I did the same thing with my rock work lol I made multiple 3d poster board tanks to put in the room to decide which size would look the best. Rdballard
Update 2... The scape didn't go as planned but ended up being better for height and coral placement. The tank is officially all set up with ammonia and bacteria in to get the cycle rolling. I'm really happy with how it turned out, even added a light shade to keep the light out of your eyes from the couch.SG - 1.025Temp - 77deg2 ocel. clowns1 yellow clown goby5 blue legged hermits3 trochus snails (if I can find them)Open to suggestions for CUC and anything else. crimsonvice

Is that why? I was just ribbing @AspiringLobophyllia Are stores being low on coral a thing with all the wackiness going on? Rdballard
Update 4... First corals are in and sadly first fish is out. Had to return the ycg because he was nipping the duncan. Rdballard
Thank you! Had to do a little surgery on the gsp to remove some aptasia... Hopefully I got it all.
Waffen06
If you only had a couple could of tried aptasia X, looking good though. Liking the Nuvo? Rdballard
Rdballard
They were in pretty easy places to chop off so I figured it was worth a shot and I know the gsp will grow back. I like the nuvo, the biggest problem I'm finding is the low volume of water and the tight areas. Everything else is awesome though, definitely an easy way to get into sw. Rdballard
So it's been a hot minute since I've updated but the nuvo somehow grew into a 46g with a 20g sump??? Crazy! Fish list: green chromis (Dasher) 2 ocellaris clowns (Finley and Gilbert) Banggai cardinal (Marty) Coral list: GSP and BSP Frogspawn Duncan Acan Monti Cap Cabbage Candy Cane Hammer Toadstool Blastos Future additions: Royal Gramma Tailspot Blenny Yellow Watchman Goby Red-lined Wrasse Purple Tree Gorgonian Pink Devil's Hand Green Sinularia Hollywood Stunner Other misc softies/LPS I come along Chaeto Loving all the room for activities in this new tank and the 2 black boxes provide plenty of light even turned way down low like they currently are.
