Tmcca
I don't see why Conductivity probe is necessary and ORP. I can see needing ORP if using ozone unless I am missing something. Can someone clarify this for me?
Fishoutofwater
It’s nice to know the salinity at a quick glance. I still check with refractometer every few days and it’s been at the same every time. If you are using the ORP probe and see a huge swing it will alert you on a biological event. On a Profilux you can just not use the ORP probe and use it for PH probe instead. Some people use it till it needs replaced and just don’t replace it.
Jesse
I love the ability to see my salinity when I want. I’m not sure anyone understands what the orp probe is but I simply use it to watch for changes.
Muttley000
I am an apex user but the orp probe is to monitor for changes as well. Same with salinity, if it varies I may want to check something, but reftractometer is what I depend on.
jeff70
salinity probe lets me know when I forget to fill my ato ; the salinity creeps up. the orp lets me know when something dies. it has its own daily cycle and if there is a big protein release it will go up. just my take on it.
