I purchased a pair of cardinal fish on friday and they are in quarantine i havent seen them eat i have tried pellets, mysis, roe  any other suggestion? They are active not seeming stressed no aggression between them and the tang.  What are your experience with them?

I’ve personally never owned one. I can’t bring myself to buy one. I don’t really like the way they look.

another food to try is minced shrimp cooked or raw , just cut very small and microwave it for 5-6 seconds.  heating it makes it more aromatic ...makes me hungry too.

I've never heard of heating it.  I would guess that small amount of time wouldn't make any significant difference nutritionally amd I'm sure it would make it smell more!  Great idea!

I have to do this to feed my tusk.  such a fierce looking fish but won't touch it unless its heated.  7 seconds in microwave for 3 pieces in total the size of a nickel .  He is also a big wusy!  if I walk by the tank too fast or make a quick move by him he goes to the bottom and plays dead for about 2 minutes.
