Nickn
I purchased a pair of cardinal fish on friday and they are in quarantine i havent seen them eat i have tried pellets, mysis, roe any other suggestion? They are active not seeming stressed no aggression between them and the tang. What are your experience with them?
Muttley000
Never had a problem getting them to eat myself but every fish is different. If you are worried could always try to hatch some live brine shrimp
Rdballard
Mine is a picky pita... He doesn't like pellets but will always eat freeze dried brine and sometimes flakes... Definitely worth it though haha.
Birdman
I’ve personally never owned one. I can’t bring myself to buy one. I don’t really like the way they look.

jeff70
another food to try is minced shrimp cooked or raw , just cut very small and microwave it for 5-6 seconds. heating it makes it more aromatic ...makes me hungry too. Rdballard
Muttley000
I've never heard of heating it. I would guess that small amount of time wouldn't make any significant difference nutritionally amd I'm sure it would make it smell more! Great idea! I have to do this to feed my tusk. such a fierce looking fish but won't touch it unless its heated. 7 seconds in microwave for 3 pieces in total the size of a nickel . He is also a big wusy! if I walk by the tank too fast or make a quick move by him he goes to the bottom and plays dead for about 2 minutes.
