Muttley000
I wasn't it just happened to come out to 0, and since i just added a decent amount of fish, i hope the feedings will bring it up to .05 where the corals seem to like it the best. I just did a 50g water change this morning and i retested after it settled. Nitrate-0 Alk 9.3 Calc- 480 Mg 1300 I plan on dosing Mag in the morning to get that up and ill test phosphates again to see where they are at now after the WC, I hope still 0 like it should. I used Kent Reef Salt and 0 TDS RO/DI water Thanks for the info!
Wrass-Ler
I don't remember that you were chemically removing phosphates. How do you think you got them there and what are you going to do to get them back up? Obviously a true patriot of the "Wrass-ler Pee for Free Bacteria" program. justin88
After about a week of letting the tank do its thing and dosing some Mag. I also had to turn down my lights a bit, my Green bubble tip always moves into a shady area during peak day then moves back out during the evenings. Alk-10 Calcium-500 Mg-1500 N03- 0 Po4-0 I think its time to start stocking corals! I get to pickup my Purple Tang and Powder Blue tang in a couple weeks from Lincoln Village Reefs! They are doing well in QT! Purple is huge so i am pretty excited to see him! He's about 6" and the PBT is around 4-5"! The Wife gave me a list of Fish she want's. Leopard Wrasse Pair Juvi Red Coris (if he doesn't try to eat my clam) Mandarin Pair School of Anthias and FireFish Yellow Coris wrasse Snowflake or Midnight Clown's with a Sunburst Nem Red Sea Sailfin (if the purple will allow it) I think she did pretty good picking out some fish! justin88
It was actually free along with the clowns from a friend, i believe its a sabae or something like that. It's pretty neat, half of it lost its color cause his lights were weak. Hopefully it colors up in the next few months. It's 12" or so open. Thank you for the comments its slowly coming along.
